Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to access, rectify, port and erase your data. Learn more about these rights, and find out how you can exercise your rights in the MartFame Settings. You also have the right to object to and restrict certain processing of your data.

Data retention, account deletion
We store data until it is no longer necessary to provide our services, or until your account is deleted - whichever comes first. This is a case-by-case determination that depends on things like the nature of the data, why it is collected and processed, and relevant legal or operational retention needs. For example, when you search for something on MartFame, you can access and delete that query from within your search history at any time, but the log of that search is deleted after 6 months. If you submit a copy of your government-issued ID for account verification purposes, we delete that copy 30 days after submission. Learn more about deletion of content you have shared and cookie data obtained through social plugins.

When you delete your account, we delete things you have posted, such as your photos and status updates, and you won't be able to recover that information later. Information that others have shared about you isn't part of your account and won't be deleted. To delete your account at any time, please visit the MartFame Settings.

What Personal Information About Customers Does MartFame.com Gather?

The information we learn from customers helps us personalise and continually improve your socializing and shopping experience at MartFame.com. We use the information to handle orders, deliver products and services, process payments, communicate with you about orders, products, services and promotional offers, update our records and generally maintain your accounts with us, display content such as wish lists and customer reviews and recommend merchandise and services that might be of interest to you. We also use this information to improve our store and platform, prevent or detect fraud or abuses of our website and enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical or other functions on our behalf.

Here are the types of information we gather:

Information You Give Us: we receive and store any information you enter on our website or give us in any other way. You can choose not to provide certain information but then you might not be able to take advantage of many of our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customising future shopping for you, improving our stores, and communicating with you.
Automatic Information: we receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. For example, like many websites, we use "cookies" and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser accesses MartFame.com or advertisements and other content served by or on behalf of MartFame.com on other websites. Click here to see examples of the information we receive.
Mobile: When you download or use apps created by MartFame or its subsidiaries and, where applicable, have requested or consented to location services, we may receive information about your location and your mobile device, including a unique identifier for your device. We may use this information to provide you with location-based services, such as search results, and other personalised content. Most mobile devices allow you to turn off location services.
E-mail Communications: to help us make e-mails more useful and interesting, we often receive a confirmation when you open e-mail from MartFame.com if your computer supports such capabilities. We also compare our customer list to lists received from other companies in an effort to avoid sending unnecessary messages to our customers. If you do not want to receive e-mail or other mail from us, please adjust your Customer Communication Preferences.

Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we might sell or buy stores, subsidiaries or business units. In such transactions, customer information generally is one of the transferred business assets but remains subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Notice (unless, of course, the customer consents otherwise). Also, in the unlikely event that MartFame.com, Inc. or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information will of course be one of the transferred assets.
Protection of MartFame.com and Others: We release account and other personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law; enforce or apply our Conditions of Use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property or safety of MartFame.com, our users or others. Some third-party services that we use to provide the MartFame Service, such as Google Analytics, may place their own cookies in your browser. This Privacy Policy covers use of cookies by MartFame only and not the use of cookies by third parties.
MartFame complies with the “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) standard recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium. For logged-out users browsing with DNT enabled, MartFame’s analytics will not receive data about you, but we will do some first-party tracking in order to customize content and provide data to third-party service providers that enable MartFame Services to work. When you use MartFame while logged-in to your account, we cannot comply with DNT. Here’s some more information about MartFame’s Do Not Track policy.

MartFame allows you to use this invite tools to invite your email contacts to join MartFame’s Social-MarketPlace Network and MartFame will not sell your contact to no one or entity or any third-party.

MartFame Invite your friends’ app will help you store your contacts for the ease of re-using it and would be deleted once you delete your MartFame account though all your contacts that you have sent invite email may be backed up for record purposes and would not be sold to any third-party by MartFame during and after your active or inactive account.

Some of this information, you actively tell us (such as your email addresses, which we use to track your account or communicate with you). Other information, we collect based on actions you take while using MartFame, such as what pages you access and your interactions with our product features (like highlights, follows, and applause). This information includes records of those interactions, your Internet Protocol address, information about your device (such as device or browser type), location and referral information.

We use this information to:

  • provide, test, improve, promote and personalize MartFame Services
  • fight spam and other forms of abuse
